How does it work?
Metoprolol: A beta-blocker that slows the heart rate and reduces the heart's workload, lowering blood pressure and angina.
How to use
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not crush, break or chew it.
- Do not stop or change the dose without your doctor's advice.
Important precautions
- Do not stop suddenly – your doctor will reduce the dose gradually.
- Use with caution in asthma; may mask signs of low blood sugar in diabetes.
- Tell your doctor about all other medicines and supplements you take.
