Composition: Glimepiride IP 4 mg + Metformin Hydrochloride IP (sustained-release) 1000 mg

What is it used for?
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus, along with diet and exercise

How does it work?
Glimepiride: A sulfonylurea that helps the pancreas release more insulin.
Metformin: Reduces sugar production by the liver and helps the body use insulin better.

How to use
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not crush, break or chew it.
- Take with or just after a meal.
- Do not stop or change the dose without your doctor's advice.

Important precautions
- Can cause low blood sugar (sweating, shaking, hunger, confusion) – keep glucose or sugar handy and do not skip meals.
- Take with or after meals to reduce stomach upset.
- Your doctor may stop it temporarily before X-ray dye tests or surgery.
- Not suitable for people with severe kidney problems; avoid heavy alcohol use.
- Tell your doctor about all other medicines and supplements you take.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
